ANS & block products and tests

Registering and Logging in to ANS

Go to ans.app and click on login with your school account. Search the menu for Erasmus University Rotterdam. You will then be redirected and can log in using your ERNA account. The first time you log in to ANS, you will need to grant ANS permission to receive your personal details. Check your personal details and click on Get started. Set your email preferences and click confirm. From now on, you can log in every time via Erasmus University Rotterdam in the menu using your ERNA account.

Taking a Digital Exam

Log in to ANS using your ERNA account. Search for the exam using the search bar or by going to the course and then clicking on the digital exam.

Click on start to begin. Once you are finished and have answered all the questions, click the - icon or 'submit' to hand in your exam.

You can then confirm that you are submitting the exam, or go back to the questions. After submitting, you can no longer change your answers.

On the Ans overview page, you can search for the exam and check the time you started and when you submitted your answers.

Exam Review

For the exam review process, you can check Canvas. In ANS, you can view your result by finding the exam in the menu and clicking on Result. Here you will see your result, the number of points per question, and specific information about your exam. This may vary slightly depending on what the instructor has selected.

Resit Exam Registration Process
To participate in the resit exam, you must register yourself via Osiris. Free registration closes one week before the resit exam. You can only retake a block exam if you meet the established conditions for participation.
If you wish to register after the closing date, administrative fees will be charged.

Assignment Submissions

You can find an assignment in the same way as an exam, using the search bar or via the course. Click on upload a file and select a file of up to 25MB in one of the following formats (.zip, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .txt, .py, .mp3, .mp4). Click submit and then confirm. If an instructor has allowed multiple attempts for an assignment, you can upload multiple files. Navigate to the assignment, click upload, then new attempt and finally confirm. Then choose the correct file and confirm the new submission. You can switch between the different attempts using the drop-down menu.

More instructions, such as the use of tools during an exam, can be found on the ANS website.
