Timetable
With input from the education coordinators and under the direction of the program, the Room Planning team for Education, part of Education & Student Support, schedules the teaching and exam timetables.
Study Group Timetable
Students attend classes based on a personal study group timetable. See also the knowledge items: Bachelor Study Group Number or Master Study Group Number.
Timetabling Rules
For scheduling and room allocation, the timetabling rules approved by the program directors and established by the Director of Education & Research apply.
Factors Affecting the Timetable
The Room Planning team aims to create the best possible schedule for both students and instructors. However, the availability of instructors due to clinical duties, rooms, and/or study groups influences planning. Additionally, the structure of the curriculum, with fixed teaching weeks and instructor/group assignments, plays a role.
Gaps Between Classes
Unfortunately, not all teaching moments can be scheduled at ideal times for students or instructors. Gaps between classes or teaching days with limited contact hours cannot be ruled out. Students are expected to attend teaching sessions at the times scheduled for them. The Room Planning team ensures a fair distribution by not scheduling the same study groups repeatedly in early morning or late afternoon time slots.
MyTimetable
Teaching schedules, including those per study group, can be viewed via MyTimetable. Here you can find the MyTimetable user guide. When multiple rooms are scheduled for a session, check the study group number to see where you are expected. For more information about the clinical rotation schedules, see the knowledge item: Clinical Rotations and Allocation.
Instructions
Below you will find instructions for the Bachelor and Master programs:
Timetable Publication
The timetable is released in phases. It is not possible to publish a complete timetable for the entire academic year at the start, as the education in the second half of the year still needs to be evaluated, developed, and possibly adjusted. The timetable for semester 1 will be published in mid-May, and the timetable for semester 2 will be published in mid-November.
Instructor Absent
Is the instructor not present at the scheduled session? In that case, call 010-7045555 (option 4 – Scheduling and Room Management Team).
