Enrolment via Studielink
If you are a pre-master student, you must register via Studielink. Under ‘Type of program’, select ‘bachelor of medicine’, and for the question ‘Enrolling in the first year’, choose ‘No’ (permission required). Under program name (institution), select ‘(Pre-master) Medicine’. You will then see a message allowing you to confirm your intake moment. More information about enrolling in the pre-master can be found here.
Monitor your enrolment in Studielink
In the ‘My to do list’ on Studielink, you can track the status of your enrollment and see the necessary steps to receive your proof of enrollment (uploading a photo, admission, tuition payment, etc.). The STiP item Proof of enrollment explains how to obtain this from Osiris Student.
Enrolment traffic light in OSIRIS
In OSIRIS, you can also see the status of your enrollment. Under the ‘Personal details’ tab, next to ‘Program’, you’ll find the option ‘Enrollment status for program’. This section shows the outstanding actions. Under ‘Progress indicators’, traffic lights indicate the status of each action. Your enrollment is only complete once all actions are resolved.
Study interruptions and/or interim deregistration
Your enrollment for an academic year ends automatically on 31 August. If you wish to deregister earlier, you must indicate the end date in Studielink (always the 1st of the month). Only deregister if you are no longer following any courses. Results obtained while not officially enrolled are invalid.
You cannot enroll twice in the same academic year, even if you have taken a break for several months. Re-enrollment is only possible for the new academic year starting 1 September. Enrollment for the new academic year opens in Studielink from mid-July until 31 August at the latest.
Study interruption > 6 months
If your study interruption lasts longer than six months, you must submit a re-enrollment request to the Examination Board. If the interruption was discussed with your study advisor, they will inform you of the steps to follow. If you were unenrolled for more than six months before starting your clerkships, this requirement does not apply.
Entitlement to student finance
Keep in mind that your entitlement to student finance ends when you deregister. More information about deregistration after graduation can be found in the knowledge item Master’s diploma and graduation. Further details about tuition fees and deregistration via Studielink are available on the Erasmus University website.
ERNA account and Erasmus MC pass
Once you are deregistered, your Erasmus MC pass will be deactivated and you will lose access to your ERNA account and student email. More information about returning your Erasmus MC pass can be found in the item Erasmus MC pass. All (stored) information in your student email will be deleted. Further details about your ERNA account and access after deregistration can be found on ASK Erasmus (search term: ERNA).
