Registration
Below you will find an overview indicating when you do or do not participate in the IVTG, and whether you need to register yourself:

At what level should I register?
If you are participating in the iVTG for the first time, register for test moment 13. After that, always register for the next test moment, even if you cannot participate.

Example:
Sanne is doing a clinical rotation abroad in her third master year and misses test moment 22. She still registers to avoid having to take iVTGs at the end of her Master and risking study delay. She receives a result of D (Did not participate) for test moment 22. Once back in the Netherlands, she registers for test moment 23 and continues her iVTG cycle.

 

If you always register for the next test moment (even if you don’t participate), the next test moment will always be available in OSIRIS Student.

 

What if I cannot participate in an iVTG test moment?
As described above, you should still register for the test moment. You do not need to deregister via email. You will receive a D result, meaning you did not participate. You can then register for the next test moment and stay on track.

Reassessment of your test moment
The cycle of 12 test moments over three Master years only applies if your Master proceeds nominally. If there is an exception such as an exemption for your Master's Research your Master may be shorter, giving you fewer opportunities to complete all iVTG test moments. In such cases, you must request a reassessment of your test moment via Osiris Zaak. This must be done no later than two weeks before the iVTG test date. A reassessment ensures you stay on schedule, even if you miss a test.

 

Example of a reassessment:
Mustafa starts his Master of Medicine in September 2022 and takes test moment 13. Because he completed a Research Master, he receives an exemption from the Examination Board for Research Methods and Master's Research. Realizing he will finish his studies earlier than his cohort, he requests a reassessment via Osiris Zaak. The VBC-R (Progress Test Guidance Committee Rotterdam) approves his request and reassigns him to test moment 16 for the next test (December). Mustafa takes test moment 16 (instead of 14) and continues his iVTG cycle without study delay.

 

How to submit a reassessment request

You can submit a reassessment request via Osiris Zaak. If your reassessment is based on an exemption or a clinical rotation abroad, ensure that the exemption or rotation is approved and registered in Osiris so it appears in your academic progress overview. The VBC-R bases its decision on this overview. If your exemption or rotation is not registered, your reassessment request cannot be processed and will be temporarily rejected.

 

When will I receive a response?

Reassessment requests are processed by the VBC-R no later than two weeks before the iVTG test date, provided your request was submitted at least two weeks in advance.
