Tasks
The Examination Board (EC) ensures the quality of tests and exams, safeguards exam procedures and organisation, and makes decisions regarding individual requests. The EC also plays a key role in issuing binding study advice and identifying fraud or unprofessional behaviour.
You may contact the EC for exemption requests, accommodations due to a disability, or questions about special study arrangements. The EC makes decisions based on the OER and its own Rules and Guidelines. This item describes several of its responsibilities.
Submitting a request
Requests can be submitted via OSIRIS Zaak. You will receive a confirmation and your request will be processed within six weeks.
Decision
You can view the EC’s decision in OSIRIS Student. Read it carefully, as it includes instructions for next steps, which may involve other parties.
Disability
If you have a disability, you can request accommodations for education or exams. This also applies to temporary impairments (e.g. a broken arm). Submit your request via OSIRIS Zaak. You may also first consult your study advisor. For the procedure and more information, check OSIRIS Zaak and the EC Rules and Guidelines. More information is also available here.
Exemption
Check the OER for exemption request procedures. Exemptions are valid for 5 years (Medicine programme) or indefinitely (research Master). Note: exemptions may affect eligibility for cum laude. Detailed rules are in the EC Rules and Guidelines (Bachelor and Master versions).
Diploma or certificate
At the end of your programme, the EC will issue your diploma or certificate, ensuring that it meets all legal requirements set by the Ministry.
