Financing an Internship abroad

Finances

An internship abroad can be costly, but there are funding options. Below are a few briefly mentioned. For a full overview, see Step 5 – Finances on the Canvas page Study/Internship Abroad.

Erasmus MC Grant
More information about the Erasmus MC Grant can be found in this STiP item.

Erasmus+
The Erasmus+ grant program from the European Commission promotes student mobility within Europe. One part of the program is the Erasmus+ grant, which allows you to study at a foreign institution for a short or extended period.

To qualify, you must meet several conditions listed on the EUR website.

Since this grant requires a minimum stay of two months, it is ideal for a Master’s research project and/or final clinical rotation.

Applications are handled via the International Office. Instructions are available on the Canvas page.
