Agreement
As a 2nd or 3rd-year student of the MSc Technical Medicine, you must have a TM internship agreement with Erasmus MC. You will receive an email inviting you to sign this agreement at the Education Service Center (OSC). This appointment is scheduled in your timetable.
Important: You must present a valid ID when signing. A driver’s license is not accepted.
After processing the agreement, you can collect your Erasmus MC employee pass at the Servicedesk. You will then have access to the new building and, using your microsection number and password, access to HiX for the department where you will be interning.
Microsection number
All Erasmus MC employees have a microsection number (MSN).
If you do not yet have one, you will receive your MSN and password via your Studielink email after signing and processing the agreement.
Even if you already have an MSN, you must still sign the agreement. In that case, your current MSN will be retained, and the new appointment will be added. The master appointment is valid for the 2.5 years during which you complete your TM2 and TM3 internships.
Collecting your pass
After signing the agreement, you will be notified via your Studielink email and can collect your new employee pass at the Servicedesk (Fe-209).
In some cases, you must exchange your old Erasmus MC pass for a new one. The Servicedesk staff will inform you if this applies.
Deposit Payment
When exchanging your pass, you may be asked to pay a deposit of €45. This deposit will be refunded when you return the pass at the end of your studies.
Whether or not you need to pay depends on other appointments within Erasmus MC and whether payment is involved. Only Servicedesk staff can see this when issuing the pass.
Authorization & Access
With your new pass, you will have access to the new building and (using your MSN and password) access to HiX.
All existing authorizations and your clothing credit will be transferred to your new pass. General employee authorizations are automatically added.
Access to the Emergency Department (SEH) and the new building does not need to be requested separately.
Department-specific authorizations must be requested by the department where you are interning.
