Graduation

From April 2024 onwards, Research Master's students are required to apply for graduation via OSIRIS Case in order to complete their programme and receive their diploma.

How does it work?

1. Start a new case in OSIRIS: ‘Graduation Application (EMC Research Masters)’

2. Fill in the application form

3. Click 'Submit'

Please note that, in order to be able to submit your application, you must have: 1) an active enrolment, 2) earned all required credits.

The Educational Service Centre will review your application and forward it to the Examination Board. Upon approval of the Examination Board, the Educational Service Centre will be able to register in OSIRIS that you have completed the programme.  Your application will be processed within a maximum of 15 working days. You will be able to monitor the progress of your application at all times in OSIRIS. 


Programmes

The case is available for students of the following (Research) Master's programmes: 

- Genomics in Society

- Health Sciences (120 and 70 EC)

- Clinical Research

- Infection & Immunity

- Molecular Medicine

- Neuroscience


Diploma

Research Master's graduates typically receive their diploma during the Graduation Ceremony of their programme in August. More information about the upcoming ceremonies will be shared by e-mail.


Graduation Ceremony: Health Sciences & Clinical Research

Please note that (prospective) Health Sciences and Clinical Research graduates are required to register their attendance to the Graduation Ceremony via OSIRIS Case ('Graduation Ceremony (Health Sciences)'). Registration is possible from March 28, 2024 onwards. It is not necessary to have earned all required credits in order to register. However, you will only be able to participate and receive your diploma if you meet all the graduation requirements in August 2024. 


Graduation Ceremony: Medical students

Research Master's graduates who have recently finished their Master in Medicine (MA Geneeskunde) programme will receive their Research Master's diploma during their Master in Medicine Graduation Ceremony. They are welcome to take part in the Graduation Ceremony of their Research Master's programme as well. Medical students who have earned all required credits except for the Final Exam are able to take part in the Research Master's programme Graduation Ceremony before completing their Final Exam.
