Reading your study progress overview

Opening Your Study Progress Overview (SVO)

In OSIRIS, go to the ‘Progress’ tab to open your Study Progress Overview (SVO). To get a full overview of both completed and pending components, make sure to check the relevant options as shown in the example below.

Note: When selecting the option to show your weighted average, please be aware that this is not the average used for determining compensation eligibility. The displayed average includes all registered exam results within your exam program.

Earned Credits

On the cover page of your SVO, under ECTS credits, you’ll find both the total required and earned credits for your core program.

Step 1: Completed Results and Mandatory Skills Education (VO)

All scheduled exams, final grades, and registration details can be found under ‘Results – Program’, which appears just after the program overview.

Your participation in mandatory skills education (VO) is listed under ‘Results – Other’, at the bottom of your SVO.

Important: Make sure the options ‘Print all test results’ and ‘Print remaining courses’ are checked. Only then will you get a complete overview of your results.

You will only receive a “VD” (Completed) under ‘Skills Education Assessment’ in ‘Results – Program’ once you have completed all VO components within a theme or module. See the knowledge item: Mandatory Education and Attendance for more details.

Step 2: Theme/Component Completed

Once all required results within a theme or component have been completed, the ECTS credits for that theme will be awarded. You can recognize this easily: once the theme/component is completed, the brackets around the credits disappear, and the credits are formally released.

Note: Make sure to also check the options ‘Print all test results’ and ‘Print remaining courses’ here as well. Only then will you get a complete overview.

Example 1: Component not completed

Example 2: Component completed

Credits in brackets?

This means the component has not yet been completed. If compensation is applicable under the OER, it will only be processed in August, after all final (resit) exam results are recorded.

Step 3: Exam Component Completed

Once you’ve completed all education within a specific exam component, the result for that component will appear in your SVO.

Example: The exam component ‘Disorders in the Reproductive Cycle’ consists of two themes and four results (see arrows in visual).

Step 4: Exam Program Completed

When all components of your study year’s exam program have been completed, a “Completed” status will appear in the Program Overview. In the Master's program, this status is not awarded per academic year, but per domain/module.

Other Results

Courses listed under ‘Other Results’ are not part of your formal exam program.

These are usually supporting courses used for administrative purposes in OSIRIS and do not count toward your ECTS total. Example: GENVO-BA1A1

These may appear as “courses yet to be completed” in OSIRIS Student. To verify that you’ve completed all required courses, it’s best to check the total number of awarded study credits.

Final Check for Graduation Master
